How to Convert Halo 3 Screenshots to PC Format
One of the new features in Halo 3 for the Xbox 360, is the ability to save still images from past games. This is a fun feature on its own, but it's even better when you transfer the screenshots to a PC. They're perfect for desktop wallpapers or screensavers.
Things You'll Need
- Xbox 360 console with Halo 3
- Subscription to Xbox Live, Gold or Silver
- PC with an internet connection

Preparing the Screenshot for Download

Select "Theater" from Halo 3's main menu.

Press "Start" from the "Theater Lobby" and select "File Share" from the menu.

Select an open slot from the next menu; the column on the right will read "Open" when you've highlighted an open slot.

Go to the option that says "Screenshot" from the menu that asks "What Do You Want to Share?"

Choose a screenshot to transfer.

Wait for notification that the upload is complete. This should only take a few seconds.
Signing in to Bungie.net

Navigate your Web browser to Bungie.net.

Click on the "Sign In" icon at the top right corner of the screen.

Sign in with the e-mail address and password you used to register your Xbox Live account.

Consent to Bungie using your Windows Live ID by clicking the button at the top of the screen.

Enter an e-mail address and click the box near the bottom that says you agree to the Terms of Use and Code of Conduct, then click the button that says "Create Account."

On the right side of the Bungie.net "Profile" screen, click the text that says "Link to your gamertag."

Go back to the Bungie.net "Profile" page in your Web browser and reload it by holding "Ctrl" and pressing "F5" on your keyboard, or by hitting the reload button in your browser. The page should now display data about your Xbox Live Gamertag.
Downloading the Screenshot

Roll your mouse over the tab that says "Online Stats" at the top of the Bungie.net "Profile" page and click the text that says "Screenshot Gallery."

Click the "File Share" tab below the text that says "Halo 3 Files."

Locate the screenshot you would like to download and click the text that reads "View High Res."

Click "Okay" in the Web browser pop-up box that asks if you'd like to save the file.

Select the location on your PC where you'd like to save the file.

Tips & Warnings
By default, the file saves as a .JPG with a name full of random numbers. Consider changing the name to something simpler (such as "Halo3Screenshot1.jpg") to make the file easier to identify.
