Everyone talks about recycling plastic bags. Here is a way to recycle them to make a nice comfortable bed for your pet dog. This bed will fit a dog that weighs up to about 25 pounds.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A large pillow case
  • A sewing machine
  • Lots of plastic bags
  • A zipper
  1. Step 1

Sew the zipper into the open edge of the pillow case. Use the sewing machine to attach one side of the zipper to each side of the pillowcase.

  2. Step 2

Stuff the inside with plastic bags. Plastic bags actually have a little bit of fluff to them, so the more you stuff in, the more soft and cushy the bed will be.

  3. Step 3

Zip it up! If the plastic bags get too compacted, just stuff some more in. Your pet's bed is ready for rest and relaxation.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always keep the actual plastic bags away from kids and pets. They are both a suffocating hazard for your kids and pets and also an intestinal hazard for your pets if they are ingested. You may wish to place an additional pillow case over the top of the dog bed for a little added protection.

on 7/20/2009 Sounds easy enough. Wish there would have been a photo, though, of the finished project.
