How to Fill Lighters With Lighter Fluid

It is very inexpensive to replace your everyday lighter with a new one. If, however, you have purchased a unique lighter that you would prefer to keep on using, you will need to buy lighter fluid to fill your lighter back up again. This sounds like it may be a tricky task, but it is really rather simple.

Things You'll Need

• Lighter
• Lighter fluid

Instructions

1. Open the lid to your lighter.

2. Pull the top up and out. Just wiggle it a little and it will come loose. It is designed to do so which means that it should not take too much pressure to come loose.

3. Take the piece you just removed and flip it upside down. You will see the hole where the fluid goes.

4. Fill your lighter up with as much fluid as it will take in. Be prepared to wait as the fluid goes in at a slow pace.

5. Flip the piece over again and re-insert it in to the lighter case.

6. Close the lid.

Tips & Warnings

• Be prepared to have some lighter fluid spill while you fill up the lighter. It is best if you lay out a sheet of newspaper to make clean up easier.

• Be careful when filling your lighter with fluid. It is highly flammable.
