How to Install Folding Doors
Folding doors are used in a variety of applications, such as separating existing rooms, providing privacy to small areas of your home or closing off closets. Folding doors are just that, a door with hinges in the middle that folds and slides along a track. Folding doors are light, convenient and easy to install. Measure the width of the door frame you are going to mount the folding doors in and cut the track to a length 2 inches shorter than the frame width. This will give you enough room to adjust the folding doors to an optimal position to keep them from scratching the surrounding walls.

Use the provided hardware to mount the track along the bottom and the top of the door frame. Screw the track in tightly using the screwdriver and then position the door stops on the side of the track that you want the doors to fold into.

Depress the spring-loaded hinge at the bottom of the folding door and slide the door into the frame allowing the bottom hinge to slide into the bottom door stop. Depress the top hinge and lean the door into the door frame. Slide the top and bottom track slides--parts of the door that fit into the track--into the tracks and then open and close the door a few times to see how it works.

Tips & Warnings
It's helpful to have a partner line up the pins in the tracks while you position the door.
It's possible scratching will occur on the floor from the installation of the folding doors.
