How to Make a Polka Dot Birthday Cake
Celebrating a birthday is celebrating a life. Since each individual is so unique there are many different kinds of birthday cakes. A birthday cake can be used to show a little bit of an individual's personality. Things You'll Need
- Betty Crocker carrot cake mix
- Betty Crocker cream cheese frosting
- Candy buttons
- Cake pans
- Non-Stick cooking spray
- Water
- Vegetable oil
- Eggs
- Mixing bowl
- Wooden spoon

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F.

Get out a large mixing bowl and crack three eggs into it. Remove any shells.

Add 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, 1 cup of water and the contents of the Betty Crocker carrot cake mix.

Mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon.

Grease two cake pans with non-stick cooking spray.

Pour the carrot cake batter equally into two cake pans.

Bake for 25 minutes or until your fork comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cake.

Cool the carrot cake and then frost with cream cheese frosting. Do the bottom cake first and then place the other piece of cake on top. Frost the top of that and then get the sides.

Apply candy buttons to your cake. Candy buttons can be purchased at any grocery store. They are just little dots of candy. Spread your dots all over the cake or place them in clusters. Use all of the colored buttons or just put the blue ones on the cake.

Tips & Warnings
Place the cake batter in to a cupcake pan and make polka dot cupcakes.
Use pot holders to remove the cake from the oven. You can burn yourself really bad if you just use one towel to take out the cake.
