A round-flap envelope is the easiest and most versatile envelope to make from construction paper. It can be made in any size you desire. However, the instructions given here produce a 6-inch square envelope. This is a good project for families or parent and child.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Draw a 6-inch square in the center of a piece of white paper. With a drafting compass, draw half circles on all four sides of the square. Cut out this pattern.

  2. Step 2

Trace around the pattern onto construction paper.

  3. Step 3

Form creases that fold in the half circles on all sides.

  4. Step 4

Open the envelope and re-close the flaps clockwise. The back of the envelope will look like a pinwheel.

  5. Step 5

Seal the center of the envelope with a sticker.
