Decorate Lunch Box Tins

Tote your lunch in an embellished tin box. All you need is a few sheets of scrapbook paper, pages ripped from magazines or other decorative paper to start. Then, by applying a little decoupage medium, you'll be able to create a permanent collage on your lunch box tin.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tin lunch box
  • Mod Podge or other decoupage medium
  • Sponge paint brush
  • Scrapbook paper, magazine pages or decorative paper
  1. Step 1

Gather pieces of scrapbook paper and begin arranging them on the lunch box's cover.

  2. Step 2

Begin adding other paper cutouts in a collage-like fashion to get an idea of where things will go when you eventually decoupage the tin. Once you're done arranging your paper, set your collage aside.

  3. Step 3

Dip a sponge paint brush into Mod Podge. Brush it across the tin box.

  4. Step 4

Place your background papers or images on top of the Mod Podge-covered lunch box tin.

  5. Step 5

Lightly coat the reverse sides of paper cutouts with Mod Podge. Arrange them according to your initial design plan.

  6. Step 6

Gently brush Mod Podge across your collage. Make sure you brush in the same direction to avoid a mess of horizontal and vertical streaks.

  7. Step 7

Set your decoupaged lunch box tin aside to dry.
