How to Become a Montessori Teacher in Ireland
Maria Montessori was what can only be called a "renaissance woman." Born in Italy in 1870, Montessori was a doctor, a teacher and and philosopher, living in India and Holland for many years. Her eponymous philosophy of teaching, the Montessori method, focuses on giving children as young as 3 years old an opportunity to learn in a child-led, hands-on environment. The Montessori way of teaching is taught throughout the world, including Ireland. There are several accredited programs on the Emerald Isle that help educators become Montessori teachers.

Montessori teachers must also be good record keepers, as children are not graded in the same way as other schools in Ireland operate.
