How to Print on Fabric Sheets

Did you know that using your home computer and printer you can print photos, designs and text onto fabric to use in projects like quilts, wall hangings and clothes? You can buy kits made for ink jet printers at office supply and art supply stores. They are fairly expensive, however. The good news is there is an easy way to do it using your own fabric.

Cut a piece of white fabric to 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches.

    • 4

Place the fabric onto the shiny side of the freezer paper, making sure it is lined up properly on all sides.

Place the fabric and freezer paper into the printer as you would a regular sheet of paper, making sure that the fabric side will be the side that prints.

Print your design onto the fabric as you would onto regular paper.

    • 8

Peel the fabric away from the paper backing and use it in any sewing project.
