Things You'll Need:
- Leather cording (2 mm gauge)
- Beading wire (20 gauge)
- Wire cutters
- Indian bone pendant
- S hook
- Scissors
- Tape measure
-
Step 1
Measure around your neck. Add two inches to this measurement. This will be the length of your choker.
-
Step 2
Cut the leather cording to the length figured in step 1.
-
Step 3
Cut two 2-inch pieces of beading wire.
-
Step 4
Place the pendant onto the leather cording and center it. You can either allow the pendant to move along the leather cording or you may want to tie a simple overhand knot on each side of the pendant to keep it centered.
-
Step 5
Bend one end of the leather cording approximately 3/4 inch back onto itself. Wrap one of the 2-inch pieces of beading wire around the cording below the bend, forming a loop that is approximately 1/2-inch long. Continue wrapping the wire tightly at least five times around.
-
Step 6
Clip off the excess beading wire.
-
Step 7
Repeat steps 5 and 6 with the other end of the leather cording.
-
Step 8
Complete the Indian bone choker by attaching an S-hook to both loops of the leather cording to close the choker.
