Things You'll Need:
- Silk flowers
- Silk filler/leaves
- Floral tape
- Scissors/wire cutters
- Ribbon
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue sticks
- Straight pin
-
Step 1
Choose a silk flower or two as your central or main flower(s). Place some silk baby's breath or leaves around the flower(s) to create a complete design. Make sure it's not too large that it will stand out and look strange or so small that it is pointless.
-
Step 2
Wrap floral tape around the stems directly under the buds and calayx. Wrap it approximately 1 1/2 inches down. Cut off the stems below this. You may need to use wire cutters depending on the silk flowers you have chosen. Be sure all the stems are cut at the same length.
-
Step 3
Choose a ribbon that coordinates with the color of your flower selection. Cut a piece 6 inches long. Plug in a hot glue gun and insert a stick to allow it to warm up.
-
Step 4
Dab a bit of glue on the center of the taped stems. Place the center of the ribbon over the glue spot and hold it in place so it dries. Turn the flowers over so the glued side of the ribbon is against the table or surface. Tie the ribbon in a bow.
-
Step 5
Stick a straight pin through the taped stems and attach to clothing.
