Instructions

  1. How to Make a Flower Arrangement With Red Roses

    • 1

Trim the stems of your roses and any other flowers you plan to use. Cut the stems on an angle for best water absorption. Arrange varying flowers around the roses. Use more roses than other blooms and space the roses in a uniform pattern, interspersed with other blooms, greenery or baby's breath. Secure the stems with floral tape or string. Set into your vase or other floral container.

    • 2

Introduce other elements, like grape or olive vines or wreaths, into your flower arrangement. Fashion a handle from a vine by bending the vine accordingly and fastening on the inside of the vase or container on opposite sides. Secure the vine with floral tape. Tuck roses and additional blooms into the container. Add moss or greenery for an outdoors appeal.

    • 3

Cut roses in varying heights to create a formal floral display. Stick taller stems into the top of floral foam that is settled into a plant pot or shallow dish, with shorter stems extending from each side. Tuck greenery or baby's breath in amidst the roses. Be sure the floral foam is completely covered with blooms or greenery.

    • 4

Create an old-fashioned flower arrangement with red roses by simply winding brightly colored ribbon around a square of lace and tying the stems together. Fill water picks with water and attach to the bottom of each stem.

    • 5

Water your red roses frequently, regardless of the type of arrangement you create.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add water to your vases each day and soak floral foam every other day. Also remember to replace water in picks each day.
