How to Make Name Bracelets With String
Making personalized name bracelets is a good craft project for scout troops and slumber parties. There are few materials, but additions can be made if desired. The only limit to what you can add to these bracelets is your imagination. You can even make these as Valentine's Day gifts for a class party, the time required is so small for these.
Instructions

1
Wrap the string around the wrist of the person who will wear the bracelet.
-
2
Add 2 inches to the distance around the person's wrist. Cut the string to this length with the scissors. If the recipient is not available, cut the string to be about 12 inches long. The knots will take up some of the length of the bracelet.

-
3
Make a large knot about a third of the way down the length of the string. The knot should be large enough that the letter beads cannot slide past it.
-
4
String the letter beads onto the string on the longer end, opposite the knot. Begin by putting the first letter of the name so that the knot is to the left of the letter. You will string the remaining from left to right.
-
5
Continue to add letters so that they are all upright until the whole name has been spelled out.
-
6
Once the end of the name is reached, make another large knot to prevent the letter beads from slipping off.
-
7
Tie the bracelet around the wearer's wrist. If the recipient is not around, you can attach instructions to have someone tie the bracelet around the receiver's wrist.

Tips & Warnings
If you want to add other beads on either side of the name beads, add some of those first before adding the letter beads, then add more assorted beads before making the final knot. Ensure that the knots are large enough that none of the beads can fall off.
