How to Burn a Movie Onto a DVD-RW ROM

Burning a DVD can be useful if you have movie files on your computer that you want to be able to play on a DVD player. Using a DVD-RW instead of a DVD-R allows you to re-use the disc if necessary.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • DVD burner
  • DVD burning software
  • Blank DVD-RW disc
  • Movie file
  1. Step 1

    Download and install DVD burning software. You can use programs such as Nero or ImgBurn.

  2. Step 2

    Open your DVD burning software. Then choose, "Make a DVD," "Burn a DVD," or "Write to Disc," whichever option your burning software offers.

  3. Step 3

    Choose the movie files you want to burn. Select the "Select Files" or "Source Output" option. Then, find the folder in the directory, highlight the movie files and select "Add," "Open" or "OK," whichever option your software offers.

  4. Step 4

    Insert your blank DVD-RW into your DVD drive. Then, select "Burn."
