How to Make Rustic Picture Frames

Trace a frame shape onto your cardboard. First, draw a rectangle with the dimensions of the photo that you want to frame. Then, draw a larger rectangle around that to create the width of your picture frame. This is your base.

Collect twigs from your yard. Choose thin twigs no larger than a pencil that you can work with easily.

Glue the twigs onto the cardboard with the hot glue gun.

When dry, use the parcel string to tie rustic bows on each corner. Simply loop the string around the corner several times and then tie it like a shoelace. Glue the center of the knot for security.

Glue the photo you want to frame to a piece of cardboard that you've cut to be 1/2-inch larger than the photo on all sides.

Glue the cardboard and picture to the back of the frame so that the picture faces forward. Let it dry and enjoy.
