Not every bride craves an elaborate bachelorette party complete with strippers and drunkenness. Some women may be uncomfortable with that scene, and would prefer to celebrate their last single days in a more laid-back fashion with their girlfriends. Since the bachelorette party is in honor of the bride, consider her tastes and ideas of fun, and build your theme from there.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Ask the bride what she would like to do at her party, and discuss her comfort levels with drinking to see how she envisions the night.

  2. Step 2

Choose a theme and location for the party, be it "Wine and Dine," "American Idol night," "Girls Night In" or "Rest and Relaxation." If you choose "Wine and Dine," you could go wine-tasting at a local winery, and then dine at an elegant restaurant for dinner. If you prefer reenacting "American Idol," consider going to a karaoke club and singing wedding and friendship songs like "From this Moment On," "Chapel of Love" and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." If you want to stay in, you can have a slumber party at one of your houses, complete with chick flicks and sinful chocolate goodies. If you crave being pampered, book a spa day for all of you to get facials and massages, or have someone come to your house to beautify you all.

  3. Step 3

Arrange other details. Your theme will determine what you may need. For your wine theme, you might consider renting a limo for the day, so everyone can enjoy tasting the wine and have wine at dinner. For karaoke night, it might be fun to wear decorative leis as party favors while you're out. If you are staying in, you will need to buy food for the slumber party, such as pizza, munchies and desserts, and have some good romance and other chick flicks available to watch. For the spa day, you will need to decide if you want to go to a spa or bring services to your house. If it is at your house, have some champagne and light appetizers to snack on while everyone is being pampered.

  4. Step 4

Send invitations to the bride's friends, letting them know the itinerary of the night. Be sure to give them a few weeks' notice so they can try to attend.

  5. Step 5

Double-check reservations and RSVPs one week before the party.
