How to Make a Valentine Bulletin Board
Valentine's Day is not just for lovers. It can add some fun to a classroom or office when you set up a Valentine bulletin board. As long as the board has an ongoing Valentine theme, the actual items on display are totally up to you. Use your creativity and a few supplies to brighten any room with a Valentine bulletin board.

1
Prepare the board. Clean off the old display, including any random staples that may still be stuck in the board. Use a stapler remover or edge of a metal letter opener to easily dislodge old staples.
-
2
Set up a base sheet and frame. Staple sheets of red construction paper or a Valentine wrapping paper across the entire board, overlapping slightly at the edges for one big, red background. Staple a border of white cut paper doilies, paper lace pieces or scalloped edges, all of which are available at party or gift shops. You can also create your own scalloped borders by cutting a rounded design along one side of a strip of white construction paper and stapling around the board.

3
Arrange the word "Valentine" or some variation thereof somewhere on the board. Use cut-out letters from a contrasting black or pink construction paper that looks good against the red. You can decorate the letters with little heart stickers, smiley faces or drawing any illustrations you wish with permanent markers or paint pens.

4
Spruce up the background with foil stickers and red, pink or white cut-outs. Use foil hearts, stars or cut your own shapes out of construction paper and staple them in the corners and sparsely across the board.

5
Decide what you want to showcase about the holiday. Perhaps you want to display Valentine cards or poems that kids or staff made or wrote for the special day. Maybe you want to show photos of artwork that has a love theme or images associated with the day, such as Cupid, chocolate hearts and roses. Perhaps you want to include announcements of Valentine parties in the area. Pull all your chosen items together and lay them in front of you in front of the board. Arrange them so they are close enough to all fit but not too close that they are too crowded. Transfer them onto the board in the same arrangement you configured in front of you.
