To enjoy your All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) you may need to transport it to an appropriate riding area. A small pull-behind trailer can safely and securely transport several ATVs to your destination.

Things You'll Need:

  • Rachet straps
  1. Step 1

Hitch the trailer to your car or truck, ensuring that connections are secure and the lights are hooked up.

  2. Step 2

Lower the trailer's loading ramp. If your trailer does not have a loading ramp, you can purchase one to make your job easier.

  3. Step 3

Drive your ATV onto the trailer, and if possible, park it sideways or at an angle. You don't want the wheels facing front to back for safety reasons. Turn off the ATV and set the emergency brake.

  4. Step 4

Hook one end of the rachet strap onto one side of the trailer.

  5. Step 5

Slide the strap between the two sets of wheels on the ATV. If you can slide it under the rear of the front wheels, the strap will keep the ATV from moving around.

  6. Step 6

Hook the loose end of the strap onto the other side of the trailer and tighten it with the rachet feature. This will lock down your ATV and prevent it from sliding or rolling.

Tips & Warnings
  • ATVs can be very dangerous to handle, so always use proper safety gear.
