How to Clean Chrome Tools
Chrome tools can become dingy and dirty from sitting in a toolbox. In addition, if you work around mud or grease, your chrome tools may need polishing. Cleaning chrome tools is important so they do not become useless or rusty. Lay the towel down on a hard surface. Spread out your chrome tools on the towel. Fill the pan with hot water.

Wash excess dirt or grim from the tools. Dip one cloth into the pan, and rub each individual tool. This will remove dust and dirt. Dry the tools off with the towel.

Spray the chrome tools with your cleaner. If you have a product that is a cream or gel, use your second cloth. Dip the cloth into the jar. Remove approximately a dime-sized amount of cleaner. Wipe the tools with the second cloth to clean and polish them. Start with one side and then complete the other side. Set them back on the towel. Use a different towel if it is dirty or too moist from the washing. Repeat if necessary.

Let the chrome tools completely dry before placing them in the toolbox.
