How to Burn DVDs With Nero 8

Nero is a popular DVD and CD recording software. Recording a DVD requires no stress at all and can be easily done with just the click of a mouse. Nero 8 makes backing up your existing DVD collection a breeze. Errors are rarely encountered with Nero. Don't risk losing data due to scratches—it's easy to burn DVDs with Nero 8.

Things You'll Need

• Nero 8
• DVD
• DVD-R

Instructions

1. Load Nero 8. Click on "Copy Disc," which is located on the left hand tool bar. If you do not have Nero 8, you can purchase the program at the Nero website or download a free trial version.

2. Insert a DVD disc and press "Copy." Copy is located on the bottom right hand side of the screen. A meter on the bottom of the program shows you the progress of your disc being copied.

3. Remove the DVD when copying is complete. Insert a DVD-R disc and click "Load." The burning progress is also located on the bottom of the screen.

4. Remove the disc from the disc tray and press "OK" when the "Copy of Disc Was Successful" window appears.

5. Close out of Nero 8. Label and test your new DVD.

Tips & Warnings

• Some discs cannot be copied. Make sure you are not making unauthorized duplicates of copy protected material.
