Things You'll Need:
- Damp cleaning cloth
- Toothbrush
- Cotton swabs
- Can of compressed air

Step 1
Power down the laptop and unplug it from the wall to make sure that is not hooked up to any type of power supply.

Use the cleaning cloth that comes with the Mac Book Pro to wipe the surface of the keys. Use pressure, but don't push too hard.

Use a dry toothbrush or cotton swab to remove dust and residue from around the keys.

Step 4
Use a can of compressed air along with the toothbrush or cotton swab to help release any stubborn areas of dirt.

Step 5
Rub the surface of the keys again using a damp cleaning cloth to dislodge the dirt that the compressed air helped to loosen.

Step 6
Examine the keyboard for any spots where the first round of cleaning was not successful. Go over those areas again using the toothbrush, cotton swab, compressed air and cleaning cloth.
