Fish tanks must be cleaned regularly, though a fish tank filter can help keep the tank looking good between thorough cleanings. An Elite fish tank filter made by Hagen will help keep your fish tank clean and your fish healthy. The foam pads and carbon cartridges in the Elite fish tank filter should be changed every 4 to 6 weeks. Additionally, the filter cartridges should be rinsed at least every 4 weeks or when the red light, indicating a clog, is lit.
