One of the great features of iPods with video or photo capabilities is their visual effects. While you are listening to music, you can enjoy photos and album artwork. Album artwork can be loaded on to your iPod manually, or you can have the artwork automatically synced with the songs to your iPod in iTunes.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign into iTunes and create an iTunes store account or log-in to your existing account.

    • 2

Select the "Advanced" option at the top of the iTunes store window.

    • 3

Scroll down and select "Get album artwork."

    • 4

Agree to the prompt that tells you that songs without the album artwork will be sent to Apple by once again selecting "Get album artwork."

    • 5

Notice the download status bar at the top of the iTunes page. When album artwork download is complete, a new window will pop up. It may tell you that iTunes could not find the artwork for some songs. Select "OK" and you are ready to go.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the album or song you add to your iPod is available on iTunes, even if it wasn't purchased from iTunes, iTunes will add the artwork automatically. Always consult your user's guide for any tips specific to your iPod model.

  • When getting album artwork in iTunes, you cannot be playing music at the same time. Getting album artwork is the only task you can do at that time.
