How to Fix a CD With Car Wax
Compacts discs are great, but what do you do when you get a scratch on one of your CDs? Throw it away? Not so fast. Before you do something drastic, why not try a quick home repair to see if you can fix the problem? You may already have the required item on hand anyway, so you should give it a try. The following article will give you the means to repair a scratch on a CD.
Filling in the scratch for playing your cd again

Place the damaged CD on a towel or cloth on top of a table.

Wipe the CD clean with a new rag or unused buffing cloth.

Apply a small amount of car wax to the scratch, rubbing it in carefully so that you fully fill in the crack.

Allow the wax to dry. Check the package for guidelines as far as drying times go. If there are none, then wait at least 30 minutes.

Buff the wax with the clean cloth, making sure you go with the length of the scratch, not against it.

Wash the disc with water once you can no longer see the scratch.

Allow the CD to dry, and then try it out in your player.
