How to Install Software for an Hl1440 Laser Printer

The HL1440 Brother Laser Printer is a color laser printer fit for home or office use. The setup for the HL1440 includes installing the toner cartridges, plugging in the printer and connecting it to the computer or network. Once that is accomplished, you have to install the software.

Things You'll Need

• Supplied CD-ROM

Instructions

1. Insert the CD-ROM supplied with the HL1440 into your computer. The CD-ROM contains the Printer Driver (the software that allows the printer to talk to the computer).

2. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the HL1440 Printer Driver. If the software does not immediately start, proceed to Step 3.

3. Navigate to "My Computer" on your desktop and double-click on the CD-ROM drive to start the software setup program.

4. Print a test page to verify the software installed correctly. Go to: Control Panel > Printers > HL1440 > Properties > Print Test Page.
