Things You'll Need:

Supplied CD-ROM

Step 1

Insert the CD-ROM supplied with the HL1440 into your computer. The CD-ROM contains the Printer Driver (the software that allows the printer to talk to the computer).
Step 2

Follow the onscreen instructions to install the HL1440 Printer Driver. If the software does not immediately start, proceed to Step 3.
Step 3

Navigate to "My Computer" on your desktop and double-click on the CD-ROM drive to start the software setup program.
Step 4

Print a test page to verify the software installed correctly. Go to: Control Panel > Printers > HL1440 > Properties > Print Test Page.
