How to Use GPS on a Blackberry Pearl

The GPS on your Blackberry Pearl is an excellent navigational solution. Avoid getting lost and drop the bulk of a separate GPS system by getting directions on your sleek Pearl. Not every Pearl is equipped with GPS capabilities, and you'll want a data plan to use the feature. You may also need a separate subscription from your provider for GPS service.

Instructions

1. Access GPS in the Options/Advanced Options menu.

2. Make sure that GPS is on. Next to "GPS Services," it should read "Location ON." If it's off, select it and turn it on. Then press the menu key and select "Save."

3. Press the Blackberry menu key.

4. Click "Refresh GPS" to garner your current location coordinates.

5. Once you've determined your location, use it in conjunction with other applications like Blackberry maps in order to get directions or find local businesses.
