How To Make Macadamia Nut Butter
Nut butters provide a nutritious spread for toast or a dip for carrots and apples. It is simple to make them at home, and creating your own can save you money. Macadamia nut butter is different than butters from other nuts due to its high fat content. It comes together very quickly and will likely need refrigeration to be spreadable. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Spread out the nuts onto the baking sheet in a single layer.

Roast the nuts in the oven for about 8 to 10 minutes. Watch them closely and consider stirring them halfway through to get even browning. Remove from oven and let cool.

Place the cooled nuts in your food processor. Turn the processor on and allow it to chop the nuts. As the pieces get smaller, switch to pulsing so that you can keep a close eye on the grinding process.

Stop pulsing once the nuts are fully ground and have a liquid-like consistency. Poor into a storage bowl with a lid.

Put in the refrigerator until the nut butter has thickened slightly and has reached a spreadable consistency.

Tips & Warnings
After the nuts are ground, taste the butter and decide if you need a little more flavor. Go easy on extra ingredients, but a dash of salt or sugar may increase the palatability.
Macadamia nuts grind quickly -- within about 2 minutes -- so be sure to watch them closely so they don't get over processed.
