How to Catch a Mole Mouse
A mole in your lawn or garden can ruin a perfect lawn with tunnels below the ground, and it can kill garden vegetation by eating through roots. Catching a mole mouse is much harder than trapping a larger animal. They can continually burrow new tunnels and avoid traps you set. With the proper supplies and techniques, you can capture a mole. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Purchase a Victor brand or another brand spear mole trap form your local home or hardware store.
-
2
Locate an exit hole of the mole's tunnel. They are easy to spot and should have a mound of dirt surrounding them. Feel down in the hole to see which direction the tunnel runs.
-
-
3
Position the spear trap 6 inches away from the hole in the direction the tunnel traveled from the hole.
-
4
Push the trap's spike legs into the soil. The legs should hopefully be on the outer edge of the tunnel. Pull the spear lever up and hook the trigger latch to it.
-
5
Check the trap every week. If the spear latch was set off, you will have to use a shovel to dig out the entire trap and the mole you caught.
