Instructions

    • 1

Avoid placing your bamboo rug in areas that receive hours of bright sun every day. Bamboo fades in sunlight, making the intricate woven designs of your floorpiece appear washed out.

    • 2

Attend to spills immediately to avoid irreversible staining of the bamboo. Blot liquids as soon as you notice them. Use a white cloth so you won't transfer dyes from the cloth to the rug.

    • 3

Shake out your bamboo rug every day or every other day if the rug is in a low-traffic location. Small pieces of debris will detach themselves during the shaking process. Work gently to protect the fibers from breaking from too much force.

    • 4

Sweep or vacuum your bamboo rug to remove dirt, pet hair and other items.

    • 5

Hang your rug to dry if it accidentally becomes wet. Always wait until a bamboo rug is dry before you roll it up for storage.
