How to Make Crystal Light Candy With Molasses

Crystal Light is a great way to add a sweet taste to your recipes without the sugar. This also works very well with hard candy. You can enjoy a sweet delicious treat without all the sugar and calories. You can even substitute the sugar that you do use with molasses for a less processed but still delicious flavor. Things You'll Need

  • 1 tub Crystal Light
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 2/3 cup corn syrup
  • ¾ cup hot water
  • few drops of food coloring
  • oil
  • candy molds

Instructions

    • 1

      Combine Crystal Light, molasses, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan.

    • 2

      Cook on medium stirring constantly until Crystal Light dissolves.

    • 3

      When the temperature reaches 250 degrees, add food coloring

    • 4

      When the temperature reaches 300 degrees remove from heat.

    • 5

      Pour into lightly oiled candy molds.

    • 6

      Cool and take out of the molds.
