Things You'll Need:
- 13 Capri Sun pouches
- Ruler
- Sewing machine
- Thread to match the pouches
- Scissors
- 1-inch-long strip Velcro, 1 inch wide

Step 1
Slit the bottoms of the empty pouches open. Wash the pouches in soap and water. Prop them up to dry. This is best done the day before you begin your project, to assure that the pouches dry thoroughly and that you do not trap moisture inside them.

Step 2
Line up three Capri Sun pouches, side by side, front side up and going in the same direction. Overlap the middle pouch over the first pouch by 1/2 inch. Zig-zag stitch on the overlap to connect the two pouches together. Place the third pouch over the middle pouch by 1/2 inch and repeat. You will now have three pouches connected, and this will be the front of your Capri Sun handbag. Repeat with three more Capri Sun pouches for the back of your handbag.

Step 3
Line up three Capri Sun pouches end to end. The pouches should be front side up and going in the same direction. Overlap the top of the middle pouch over the bottom of the first pouch by a 1/2 inch. Zig zag stitch on the overlap to connect the two pouches together. Place the top of the third pouch over the bottom of the middle pouch by a 1/2 inch and repeat. You will now have three pouches connected lengthwise, and this will be your Capri Sun handbag bottom. Place the length of the bottom against the bottom edge of the Capri Sun handbag front. Center the bottom below the handbag front and trim the excess from each end of the bottom's length.

Step 4
Place the handbag front on your work surface with the right side down. With the wrong sides together, line up the side of one pouch with the end of the handbag's front. Zig-zag the two pieces together using a 1/4-inch seam allowance. End the top stitching 1/4 inch from the bottom edge. Place the handbag back on your work surface with the right side down. With the wrong sides together, line up the other side of the pouch with the end of the handbag's back. Again, zig-zag the two pieces together. You have now placed a side in your Capri Sun handbag. Using another Capri Sun pouch, repeat for the other side.

Step 5
Place the Capri Sun handbag bottom with the wrong sides together along the bottom edge of the handbag front. Zig-zag-stitch a 1/4-inch from the edge, leaving 1/4 inch unstitched on each end. Turn the handbag over and repeat.

Step 6
Line up the bottom of one handbag side with the end of the handbag bottom and zig-zag-stitch 1/4 inch from the edge. The 1/4 inch left unstitched is absorbed by attaching the end. Repeat, stitching the other handbag side to the other end of the handbag bottom.

Step 7
To make the handle, line up two Capri Sun pouches end to end. The pouches should be front side up and going in the same direction. Overlap the pouches 1/2 inch and zig-zag. Measure to find the center and cut the length in half. Line up the two lengths end to end, with the front side up and going in the same direction. Overlap the length 1/2 inch and zig-zag. Zig-zag-stitch around all four sides and 1/4 inch from the edge.

Step 8
Fold the top edge of the Capri Sun handbag to the inside 1/2 inch. Topstitch a zig-zag stitch around the top of the bag 1/4 inch from the edge. Center one end of the handle on the inside of one side of the handbag. Place the end of the handle 1 inch below the top of the bag. Zig-zag stitch the handle to the side of the bag. Repeat for the other side of the bag.

Step 9
Pull your Velcro apart. Place one half on the inside front of the handbag 1/2 inch below the edge and centered. Top-stitch the Velcro to the handbag. Line up and repeat for the other half of Velcro on the other side of the bag.
