Prepare a space in your home where you can work. Having a separate room is ideal but not always possible, but you will need a designated desk or corner of a room to run your online business.

Determine your interests. It is more likely to be successful in something that you are passionate about. Make a list of things that you enjoy doing and that you are also gifted to do.

Take the most popular keywords and phrases from your research and use those words to create a domain name. Check with one of the domain registrars to see if that domain is available, and then purchase that domain.

Set up your website using software like Microsoft Publisher, or consider spending a little capital investment to hire someone to create a website that can speak to your keywords.

Create a buzz about your website. Send out emails to your friends and family. Comment on forums and blogs with a link to your website. Write articles about your product, and post them around the Internet with links to your website.
