Things You'll Need:
- Green hair dye
- Powdered hair bleach
- Hydrogen peroxide developer
- Mixing bowl
- Rubber gloves
- 2 Dye brushes
- 2 Plastic shower caps
- Squirt bottle
- Hairdryer
- Towels
-
Step 1
Bleaching PowderMix together equal parts of the powdered hair bleach and the hydrogen peroxide developer. Stir it well. Apply it to the hair using the dye brush. Once all parts of the hair--including the roots--are covered with the bleach mixture, cover your hair with a shower cap. Keep the bleach on the hair until it turns a light blond. This can take between 15 minutes up to 50 minutes, depending on the natural hair texture and color. Check the color every ten minutes.
-
Step 2
Wash Hair ThoroughlyRinse hair thoroughly with warm water. Lightly shampoo the bleach mixture out. It is important that you remove all of the bleach mixture from the hair. Once the hair is clean, dry it with a towel thoroughly.
-
Step 3
Dye BrushApply the green hair coloring directly to the towel-dried hair using a new dye brush or a squirt bottle. Make sure to cover the entire hair area, including the roots of the hair. When the hair is coated, cover the head with a new shower cap.
-
Step 4
Heat the Shower CapUsing a hairdryer, blow dry the outside of the plastic shower cap for about 20 to 30 minutes. The heat of the hairdryer will produce stronger, more vibrant results. After 20 to 30 minutes, rinse the hair. Lightly shampoo the coloring out.
-
Step 5
Green Hair SuccessApply a heavy conditioner to the hair. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Style the hair as usual.
