How to Fasten a Belt Buckle

Belts and their buckles can add a lot to your wardrobe. Whether they are just a simple metal design or a complex rodeo trophy, belt buckles are here to stay.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pants or shorts with belt loops Leather or other belt with buckle
  1. Step 1

    String the belt through the loops in either a pair of pants or shorts (this is most easily accomplished while wearing them).

  2. Step 2

    String the end of the belt through the belt buckle. Pull the end of the belt until the desired level of tightness is reached, and push the retainer bar through the nearest belt hole.

  3. Step 3

    Stow the end of the belt in the belt sling loop just past the belt buckle.

  4. Step 4

    Center the belt buckle over the button and zipper area of your pants or shorts.
