How to Make Leather Gloves in RuneScape

Leather gloves and armor are lightweight and supple, giving rangers desirable flexibility when fighting. The leather gloves are very easy to make using the Crafting skill, and can cost you almost nothing to make, unless you decide to buy the leather or cowhides. Creating leather gloves and other leather items is very profitable, because you can sell the items that you make to other players, at the Grand Exchange, and to general stores all over the RuneScape world.

• RuneScape member account, paid or free
• Crafting level of 1
• Soft tanned leather
• Needle
• Thread

Instructions

1. Log in to your RuneScape member account and go to the nearest bank. Open your banking account and withdraw a needle, some rolls of thread, and some tanned leather hides. If you have all of these items, you can skip down to Step 4. If not, you will have to obtain all of them in order to make leather gloves by completing Steps 2 and 3 first.

2. Get a needle and some rolls of thread. These items cannot be player-made, so you will have to buy them. However, they're very cheap. You can get them at the Grand Exchange, from other players, craft shops, or occasionally from general stores. There is a craft shop in Al Kharid. Free needles can also be found by searching haystacks.

3. Get some soft tanned leather. You can buy these tanned hides from the Grand Exchange, other players, or occasionally from general stores; however, they are very costly. Or you can buy somewhat less expensive untanned cowhides from the same places and take them to the tanner in Al Kharid. He will turn the hides into soft tanned leather for 1gp (gold piece) per hide. The cheapest way to get the leather is to kill cows, pick up the free hides and take them to the tanner.

4. Go to the bank and deposit all of the leather into your account, but leave up to 26 of them in your backpack. They are not stackable, so the room in your backpack is limited. Withdraw 7 rolls of thread, which are stackable. Each roll of thread will make 4 pairs of leather gloves.

5. Use the needle with the leather. Choose leather boots from the prompt you'll receive on the selection screen. You'll receive 13.8 Crafting XP (experience points) for each pair of leather gloves that you make.
