Make Homemade Pizza Without Yeast
Make Homemade Pizza Without Yeast

This recipe makes a bread base using pop rather than yeast as a raising agent. It is quick and easy to make and is a delicious pizza base.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle lemon-lime flavoured carbonated beverage
  • whatever toppings you prefer
  1. Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a pizzaébaking sheet.

  2. Step 2

Combine the flour, sugar and carbonated beverage. Mix well and place into the prepared pan. The first time I made this as I mixed the ingredients I was sure I had just wasted 5 cups of flour. It took as long to mix the ingredients as it did to think that. Once it came out of the oven I knew it was far from a waste.

  3. Step 3

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes. Note: If using a sweetened carbonated beverage cut back on the sugar a little.

  4. Step 4

Top with tomato sauce, your choice of toppings and finally with cheese.

  5. Step 5

Bake in the oven for approximately twenty minutes. Keep an eye on it the first time you use the recipe and once the cheese is golden and bubbling it is ready.

Tips & Warnings
  • If using any toppings that needs cooked, such as bacon, it is advisable to cook these in advance.
