Things You'll Need:
- 2 cups of light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup of orange juice
- 2 tbsp. of spicy brown mustard
- 1/4 tsp. of Tabasco sauce
-
Step 1
Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the oven. While the ham is baking, gather the ingredients for the glaze. The glaze needs to go on the ham the last 20 to 30 minutes of baking time.
-
Step 2
Add 2 cups of brown sugar to a medium mixing bowl. To the brown sugar, add 1/2 cup of pineapple juice and 1/4 cup of orange juice. Mix until well blended.
-
Step 3
Add 2 tbsp. of spicy brown mustard to the mixture. For a less-spicy glaze, use 1 tbsp. of brown mustard. Mix until well blended.
-
Step 4
Add the Tabasco sauce. Tabasco sauce is strong, so you may want to start with less than 1/4 teaspoon. Taste the mixture and continue adding the sauce.
-
Step 5
Take the ham out of the oven, remove the aluminum foil and brush the glaze over the ham carefully. Try to cover the top and sides of the ham. Return to the oven and continue cooking until the glaze begins to brown and bubble. Remove the ham and let it set for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
