Instructions

      Download VLC Player (See Resources for website link) and install the program.

      Start VideoLan.

      Select "File" and "Open File. Then click the "Open" dialog box.

      Click the "Browse" button to select the video file or files to be streamed.

      Check the "Stream/Save" box in the "Open" dialog box.

      Click the "Settings" button next to the "Stream/Save" box.

      Check the "Stream Locally" box in the "Stream Output" dialog box that opens.

      Check the "UDP" box in the "Stream Output" dialog box and enter the IP address of the computer to which the file will stream.

      Click "OK" and close the "Stream Output" dialog box.

      Click "OK" and close the "Open" dialog box.

      Select "Settings," "Add Interface" and "Web Interface" on the VLC Player main panel.

      Start VLC on the computer to which the video is being streamed.

      Select "File" and "Open Network Stream" and click "OK." This will start the video from the first computer streaming on the second one.
