How to Take Apart a 380 Handgun

Taking apart a .380 handgun is an easy task, but it is absolutely critical that you handle it safely and with care. Handling guns with safety is a common sense request but plenty of wounds and deaths happen due to recklessness and people not treating a gun with respect.

Instructions

1. Remove the .380's magazine, which is located in the back of the gun. Make sure that no bullets are within the magazine or the barrel.

2. Move the slide of the handgun back until the two lines present on the slide and lower receiver line up and push the slide release off of the gun. Remove the firing pin from the slide as well.

3. Remove the recoil spring from the gun next.

4. Slide the outer barrel off of the gun as well. Push the barrel forward and then lift it off of the slide.
