How to Bake With Stoneware
Stoneware will provide you with the advantage of better baking since it will eliminate uneven heating. You will no longer have to worry about food cooked on stoneware being burned in one part and not done in another. There are some things that you should know about stoneware before using it, and you will need to follow these instructions to bake with it. Add this to my Recipe Box.

When you first use your stoneware, you need to coat it with nonstick cooking spray with each use. This is called seasoning and you need to repeat it until a nonstick layer builds up in the pores of the stoneware. You will not use soap to wash your stoneware since it can make food taste soapy. Cleaning instructions are below.

Use the stoneware baking dish as you would any other baking dish in any oven application except for broiling or in direct flames. No adjustment to the recipe or timing needs to be made.

Use the stoneware baking dish as you would normally use any microwave safe dish. The timing for the cooking will remain the same.

Clean your stoneware after every use. Let it cool to room temperature, then run hot water over it and scrub stuck on food with a nylon scrub brush. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. Do not use soap.

Tips & Warnings
Do not use soap on stoneware. It will impart a soapy flavor to your food and it will ruin the seasoning of the dish.
