How to Make Sticky Bubbles at Home

Blowing bubbles conjures images of childhood in people of all ages. While you can purchase bubble solution at any toy store, why run to the store when you can make the bubble solution at home. You can make as much or as little as you like for pennies on the dollar. Follow these instructions to make your own sticky bubbles at home.

  • powdered laundry detergent
  • water
  • food coloring (if desired)
  • airtight container
  • drinking straws

Instructions

      Pour one part detergent and four parts water into a bowl and stir gently to combine.

      Once combined, add food coloring if desired.

      Pour into airtight containers and let sit for a day to combine fully.

      Dip one end of your straw into the mixture and blow the other end. Use bubbles outside, they're really sticky. Store in container when not in use.
