How to Use Advantage for Dogs
Fleas can be more than just a problem for your dog. They can also increase in number and bite anyone who walks near them. Advantage flea treatment for dogs is an excellent solution to getting rid of your dog's fleas. It is easy to use and very convenient since you only apply it once per month.

Go to your Vet and get a prescription for Advantage. You can purchase the Advantage directly from your Vet or at a discount by ordering it online (see Resources).

Remove a tube of Advantage from the package. There will be three tubes, one for each month. Each package is a three month supply.

Hold your tube vertically with the cap at the high end. Twist the cap off. If you can't twist it off, you can cut the tip off with a pair of scissors.

Take the cap that you just twisted off and flip it upside down. Twist it on the tube and it will pierce through the thin plastic making a way for the Advantage to come out.

Have someone hold the dog steady when you are ready to apply the Advantage.

Find your dog's shoulder blades and then locate the middle spot in between the two shoulder blades. This is where you want to apply the Advantage.

Part the dog's fur and squirt out all of the medication in the tube.

Wait three seconds and then let your dog go.

Tips & Warnings
Don't give your dog a bath for at least one whole day after you administer the Advantage. Pick a date that you will remember such as the first of the month. Give your dog the Advantage on the same day each month.
Do not use Advantage on puppies younger than 8 weeks old.
