Things You'll Need:
- Ribbons
- Bobby pin
- Hair to braid
-
Step 1
RIBBON
Purchase the ribbon of your choice. Ribbon about 3/4 inch thick is my favorite to work with. You can attach the ribbon to each strand (three ribbons) or you can attach to one strand (one ribbon). Cut the ribbon according to the length of hair being braided. Secure the ribbon at the base of the head with a bobby pin or other anchor. If you don't want to use bobby pins you can make a pony tail in the middle of the head (leaving 2 strands of hair on either side). Take the ribbon and secure the ponytail by making a bow. You should have 2 long ribbon ends hanging down these will be braided into the 2 outer strands. -
Step 2
BRAID
Make sure that as you are braiding the hair, the ribbon stays on the outside of the hair. You want the ribbon to be on top of the hair easily visible. Start your braid. Leave about 2 inches of unbraided hair at the end, secure hair and ribbon with an elastic ponytail holder. Cut the ribbon to match the length of the hair. -
Step 3
FINISH
Spray the hair with a good hairspray. Don't forget the ends. Enjoy your beautiful creation.
