How to Make Cursor Trails

Applying a cursor trail is a fun way to liven up the personality of your mouse. On the practical side, it can make it easier to see your Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) computer screen. When you move the mouse pointer over your monitor, a visible pathway trails along the screen for a few seconds. This moving shadow lengthens the visibility of the pointer for fast and easy pointer detection.

Instructions

1. Select "Control Panel" from the Start menu.

2. Click on "Printers and Other Hardware."

3. 

   Select "Mouse" from the Control Panel Icon category.

4. Go to the "Pointer Options" tab.

5. Check the box next to "Display Pointer Trails" located under the Visibility section.

6. Click "Apply."

7. Click "OK" to exit.

Tips & Warnings

• Experiment with the fast and slow speeds of the cursor trails to set the best personalized timing for your mouse pointer.

• Your desired results may not only rely with applying a cursor trail. Consider also adjusting the pointer motion speed for better mouse control. This option can be also be found under the Pointer Options tab, under the Mouse Control Panel icon option.
