How to Remove Windows Defender
Windows Defender is a security utility meant to combat malicious programs, such as adware and spyware on the Windows Vista operating system. Windows Defender is integrated into the Vista operating system, meaning it is not a stand-alone program which can be uninstalled. Therefore, the best way to deal with Windows Defender if you do not want it to run, is to remove it from the "Start Up" menu and disable its functionality.

Click "Start," then "All Programs" and "Windows Defender."

Scroll through the list of options and remove the checks from the boxes called "Use Real Time Protection" and "Use Windows Defender."
