How to Fold Clothes Like the Japanese
Folding your cloths the Japanese way is an easy-to-perform method (refer to Resources for a video of this technique). This method only works for shirts; there is not a Japanese method yet for pants folding.
Your clothes will look professionally folded and take less space since the fold makes the clothes thinner.
Following the proper steps, you will have a perfect, neat fold for your clothes and the convenience of fitting more clothes into your chest of drawers.

1
Lay your shirt flat on a hard surface facing up.
-
2
Measure by sight to half of the shirt horizontally. Place your hand to the far left side of the horizontal measurement, about 1 inch away from the edge of the shirt and grasp the shirt. Keep your hand grasping the shirt at this spot as you continue.

-
3
Line up with where you just grasped at the horizontal point and go in line vertically to one inch down from the top of the shirt and grasp the shirt in this spot.
-
4
Bring the top part of the shirt down over your other hand to the left bottom corner of the shirt.
-
5
Hold the part you just brought down with the lower left of the shirt and while turning the shirt in the air as you lift, bring the middle to where you have grasped out from the fold.
-
6
Flip the sleeve under. You are now done with a perfect fold.
