Things You'll Need:
- Docker Castaway Slip on Shoe
- Rawhide Laces
- Bell-wire or picture hanging wire
-
Step 1
Starting at the back of the shoe feed the lace into the right side eyelet.
-
Step 2
Use the wire to guide the lace through to the other side. It may take a couple of tries to get it through. Once it is through make sure the two ends are equal.
-
Step 3
Go one side at a time to get the lacing around the edges replaced. Taking the lace on the right side, feed it into the next eyelet on the right, again using the wire to guide the lace through.
-
Step 4
Your lace will end up on the outside of the shoe so that it creates an "over" appearance. Feed it into the next hole and find the eyelet; use the wire because this part can be nearly impossible. When you find the eyelet weave it through again. and place it into the following hole.
-
Step 5
You should be able to lace the shoe through the hole on the front of the castaway from this point from underneath the tongue. Run it straight across from the right hole to the left whole straight across from each other.
-
Step 6
Repeat the step on same steps on the left side until you reach the toe box. lace the shoe lace through the second eyelet on the tongue in the same straight-lace pattern as the other side.
-
Step 7
Create a simple knot on each end of the shoe laces from the underneath so that they do not slip back through the holes. Create the knot as close to the top of the lace as possible.
-
Step 8
You may leave the laces long and tuck them into the shoe or cut off excess lacing for more comfort. Simply slip on the shoes and go whenever you need to.
