Build a Lemonade Stand With Simple Cardboard

  1. Step 1

Select a large cardboard box for the base of your child's lemonade stand. A box for an appliance or electronics is ideal. If you only have smaller cardboard boxes, tape several together to form a base at least three feet square.

  2. Step 2

Add additional support to the lemonade stand's cardboard base by cutting other pieces of cardboard and taping or gluing them to the inside surfaces or the box.

  3. Step 3

Use a utility knife to cut four pieces of cardboard that are approximately 9 by 24 inches in size. Gentle score one layer of the corrugated cardboard with the knife at each 3-inch mark. Bend these into triangular pillars and tape them closed.

  4. Step 4

Tape one cardboard pillar to each corner of the lemonade stand base. Attach a flat piece of cardboard to the top of the pillars for a sun shade or roof for the lemonade stand. This can also hold a horizontal strip of cardboard painted with "Lemonade" and the price.

  5. Step 5

Paint the entire cardboard lemonade stand a light color such as white or lemon yellow. Paint the sign saying "Lemonade" and prices or other products you are offering in black so it can easily be seen. Bring out a chair for your child, and make some lemonade to sell and you are in business.
