Things You'll Need:

  • Sunscreen
  • Bleaching cream
  • Dermatologist
  • Chemical peels
  • Laser therapy
  • Microdermabrasion
  1. Step 1

Wear sunscreen. The sun's rays both cause and exacerbate brown spots on your face. If you don't protect your skin from the sun's damaging rays, these spots will only worsen. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF rating and wear it daily.

  2. Step 2

Apply a bleaching cream to your brown spots. Available over the counter in most drug stores, bleaching creams work to gradually lighten areas of hyperpigmentation. Use daily for best results.

  3. Step 3

See your dermatologist. He may wish to freeze off the brown spots, using liquid nitrogen. After your dermatologist treats the spots, they will merely peel off after a few days.

  4. Step 4

Try chemical peels. Chemicals will react with the top layers of your skin, effectively burning them away. Once the skin heals, your brown spots will be lighter and significantly less noticeable. After repeated peels, you can get rid of them altogether.

  5. Step 5

Get laser therapy. The laser's light targets areas of darker pigmentation, breaking them up. After a session, your skin will look younger and firmer, and your brown spots will be lighter. With repeated treatments, you can effectively eliminate your facial brown spots.

  6. Step 6

Get microdermabrasion. A licensed professional will use a buffing device to remove the top layers of your skin. Though your skin will be irritated following treatments, it will look smoother and younger after a few days. Your brown spots will be lighter and less apparent after each session.

Tips & Warnings
  • Lemon juice works as a natural bleaching agent. Apply it to your brown spots to lighten them naturally.
  • Never go out into the sun without proper protection.
