Instructions

    • 1
      Double Boiler

Melt 1 lb. of beeswax pellets in a double boiler. Fill the base of a double boiler half full of water, and place an empty coffee can into the top. Pour beeswax pellets into the coffee can. Heat the water on a stove over medium heat. When the beeswax pellets are completely melted, turn the heat down to low.

      Cinnamon Bun Fragrance Oil

Stir 1/4 cup of Cinnamon Bun fragrance oil into the melted candle wax, stirring thoroughly. You can find Cinnamon Bun fragrance oil at Wellington Fragrances (see Resources below).

      Dipping Candles

Hold an 18-inch length of candle wick in your hands and slowly dip each end into the hot wax. Dip the ends of the wick in about 6 to 8 inches for roughly 2 seconds. For example, dip the candle wick down for 1 second, and then up for 1 second. Holding the candle wick in the wax too long will cause the wax to melt back into the coffee can. Repeat this process until your candles are the thickness you desire.

Cool the candles by placing them in between two bricks. Place a wooden paint stirrer lengthwise between the bricks, and pay the middle of the wick on top of the paint stirrer. Let the candle cool completely before using them.
